Where they were stuck.
Community products in gaming often split attention across chat, forums, announcements, and member systems. Lets.gg needed a tighter surface where live conversation, browsable categories, official updates, and social proof all reinforce each other instead of competing for attention.

How we shipped it.

Framed the product around repeat engagement, not just visual style: live shoutbox traffic at the top, official updates close by, and fast paths into threads and categories underneath.

Kept the UI anchored in recognizable community primitives such as boards, reputation, announcements, recent activity, and member counts so the platform reads immediately on first visit.

Used a dark interface with bright cyan accents to make the product feel native to gaming culture while preserving hierarchy across feeds, cards, badges, and calls to action.

Positioned the experience as a full community surface rather than a single forum page, showing how chat, discovery, moderation-style structure, and ongoing participation can live together cleanly.
